Antioxidant Status of Serum Bilirubin, Uric Acid and Albumin in Pemphigus Vulgaris

Objective: To determine antioxidant status of serum bilirubin, uric acid and albumin in pemphigus vulgaris. Study Design: Cross sectional study Place Duration: This was done at Department Dermatology Mayo Hospital Lahore from July 11, 2019 to January 2020. Methodology: All 60 cases meeting inclusion criteria enrolled after taking informed consent, outdoor Lahore. A total 200 taken getting approval CPSP. brief demographic information contact detail taken. Venous blood collected each subject for the evaluation Serum Bilirubin, Uric Acid Albumin. Total direct indirect UA levels determined using an automatic biochemical analyzer (Model 7600‐120; Hitachi High Technologies, Tokyo, Japan). values recorded as per operational definition. Results: The mean age patients 40.08±12.89 years with minimum maximum 18 years. There were 22(36.7%) male 38(63.3%) female higher ratio. BMI 29.08±2.70 24 33.90. bilirubin level 8.51±1.64µmol/L 5.80µmol/L 11µmol/L. this 234.37±33.46µmol/L value 160.00µmol/L 280.00µmol/L. Albumin 34.20 ±3.69g/l 29.00g/l 41g/l. Conclusion: It is concluded that oxidative stress are important pathogenic mechanism PV.
